Wow! You've taken us up to and through out next stretch goal! Having hit $14,000, I'll add a section on Trolls, Imps, and Bogeys to the Monsters book!
The common factor here: They're small, humanoid monsters that work in tandem to trap, harm, or kill people. They're distinct from gremlins (which already have a section) because gremlins are pretty focused on hurting people by messing with their machines and vehicles, while bogeys, as we know from the core book, will just dismember and eat you. I figure that these little bastards run the gamut from the animalistic bogeys (lives in the wilderness, pretty rudimentary strategy) to trolls (bright colored hair, generally...wait, no) to imps (perfectly living in your house and probably creeping up behind you with a net RIGHT NOW).
Next up: If we hit $15,000, I'll add a section on the Doppelgänger. Now, I know that the Doppelgänger got attention in the Apparitions book for 2nd Ed, but first of all, that's hard to find, and second, I can see some disagreement in SAVE over how to classify such a monster - is it really a ghost, under the Garrett System? That'll be fun to write! And I get to write it, in only $751!
We're 10 days from the end of this Kickstarter. Let's finish strong, hit 500 backers and let Rob and Danielle write their cases, and force me to think of some more monsters to include!
Here Comes the Boogeyman

I suppose I could have posted "I'm Your Boogeyman" by Rob Zombie or "Boogie Woogie Wu" by ICP, but a) this seemed a little more sedate and classy and b) I don't hate you. :)
As you might have guessed, this means we've made our first stretch goal - the Boogeyman will be appearing in the Monsters book! He gets a four-page spread with what information SAVE has on him (them?) and a stat block.
Yesterday I finished writing what I've been mentally calling the "spores, molds, and fungus" section. It's about things like the creeps (which show up in SAVE: The Eternal Society) and brain worms, and other infection-like manifestations of the Unknown. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
The plan is to have the gargoyle section put through the layout process, just so you can see what these spreads are going to look like. Thomas is on the case!
Speaking of cases, we've got 78 more backers to go before we unlock a new free case, this one by Rob Wieland! Spread the word! We've got two weeks left, that's plenty of time to add more monsters!

So much to report!
FUNDED! WOOOO!
So let's start with the obvious thing: We've hit our goal! We're presently at $12,421, and we've still got the better part of three weeks to go. I think that's pretty fantastic! Thank you so much for your support!
New Case Unlocked!
We're now at 306 backers, which means we've unlocked a third free case, this one by Julia Neves. I'm very interested to see what kind of horror Julia can serve up - keep posting those #SAVEisonyourside pics so that we have some inspiration!
New Case Posted!
Speaking of new cases, I posted Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, a free case written by Maggie Carroll, to the site this morning. You can download it here (and yes, the link works this time). :)
Creature Conversion!
As promised, I did a blog post taking you through the process of converting a creature from 2nd Ed to 3rd Ed. You can see the post here, and thanks to John Kahane for picking a monster for me.
Stretch Goals!
Didn't think I'd forget this bit, did you? Now that we've hit our goal, it's time to talk about where we go from here. And what's better than monsters? More monsters.
For every $1000 we raise past our goal, I'll add a new monster write-up to the book. Now, when I say "monster write-up," I'm not (just) talking about the stat block and the description. The write-ups are 4-page spreads with in-character discussions of that monster and similar creatures and a story hook that you can pick up and flesh out to turn into a case. Thomas is presently doing a quick layout for the section on gargoyles (because I have the art for that section), and when that's done I'll post it so you can see what I'm talking about.
We're well on our way to unlocking the first one... the Boogeyman. The Cropsey. El Cucuy. It goes by a lot of names, but whatever it is, it creeps into houses, it lurks in closets, and it steals people. And if we get pledged another $579, I'll add it to the Monsters book.
